Exploring Greece and its Islands

🌍Few places on Earth embody the magic, tranquility, and splendor of nature like Greece!

🏖️ Relax on Beautiful Beaches with the Whitest Sand

The whitest sands in the world are created over millennia as quartz and other minerals grind down into tiny pieces, giving these beaches a stunning appearance that almost sparkles under the sun. Greece’s beaches are known for their powder white soft sands and white rocks that are some of the most picturesque you’ll find in the Mediterranean.

For the traveler seeking brand-new sights, these unique and beautiful beaches and quaint coastal towns are sure to satiate the most adventurous spirits.

 🌅Best Beaches for Sunset Views

The majestic, warm hues that paint the sky during sunset are a daily reminder of the wonder of nature. Add in a beautiful beach scene, and there might be nothing better.

We’ll hop on a high-speed ferry to Mykonos, the whitewashed jewel of the Cyclades Islands. Enjoy magnificent views as you cruise across the brilliant Aegean Sea to this island paradise. Spend time in Chora (Mykonos Old Town), where mazes of narrow streets link the whitewashed buildings and traditional life continues amidst the bustling activity.

We won’t stop there! We’ll cruise to the most spectacular destination in the Mediterranean, the fabled island of Santorini, where you will travel through a fascinating landscape of vineyards, whitewashed chapels, and volcanic cliffs to the spectacular town of Oia, where the best views of the crater are found.

 📖Immerse Yourself in Ancient History

It’s not all about beaches! Explore the history of iconic landmarks: Surround Yourself with the glorious monuments of ancient Greece as you explore the Acropolis in Athens, the Palace of Knossos in Crete, and the Temple of Apollo at Delphi.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Our group will visit several of Greece’s 19 UNESCO Sites, where you will immerse yourself in its rich cultural and historical significance.

Did You Know?

Central Greece, known as Roumeli, is part of the Greek mainland that has been inhabited since antiquity. There are forested mountain ranges, rivers, lakes, rich fauna and flora and remarkable archaeological sites. Visit the archaeological site of Delphi and the Oracle of Apollo, picturesque seaside towns of Galaxidi and Itea, as well as beautiful Nafpaktos of great historical importance.

Ancient Greeks believed that Delphi was the Navel of the Earth, a place seen as a spiritual focal point for all Greeks; it included many sanctuaries and the most prestigious oracle in all of ancient Greece. This is where Pythia, the high priestess, uttered the divine advice of god Apollo to mortals who travelled from across the world to seek a prophecy. Apart from Greeks, the Oracle was visited also by foreign leaders and dignitaries who were anxious to know the will of Apollo on important state affairs.

🤗Experience the Warmth of Greek Hospitality

Philoxenia: Greek hospitality, or ‘philoxenia’, emphasizes warmth, kindness, and respect, ensuring visitors feel like family.

More than 600 years ago, Byzantine monks established their monastic community in Metéora, constructing their monasteries atop soaring limestone rock formations that rise 900 feet into the sky. These virtually unreachable towers provided the perfect sanctuary. You’ll be immersed in philoxenia at a family-run taverna, where you’ll enjoy a mouthwatering meal crafted from time-honored recipes handed down through generations.

Travel along the Gulf of Corinth, crossing into the Peloponnese to the historic city of Olympia, a testament to the grandeur of ancient Greek civilization. Visit a local farm in the countryside and meet with the owners to learn about everyday life in rural Peloponnese. Following the tour, enjoy a light lunch including a tasting of local wines, olive oil, homemade jams, marmalades and sweets.

 🍷 Savor Authentic Greek Cuisine

  • Traditional Dishes: Indulge in moussaka, souvlaki, tzatziki, and fresh seafood.
  • Sweet Delights: Don’t miss out on baklava and loukoumades, traditional Greek desserts.
  • Culinary Experiences: Engage in food tours to experience Athens’ vibrant street food culture .
